Event Partners
Each year in the lead up to the annual awards ceremony, we work with partner organisations to organise a selection of events and panel discussions with our shortlisted writers. These are a great opportunity for people to meet the writers and find out more about the literary journey.
The winner is usually announced at a dinner in London in July, to which the shortlisted candidates are all invited. In 2017 the dinner was held in London for the first time as part of centenary celebrations for SOAS (University of London). The award dinner has been held there every subsequent year in partnership with SOAS. This is part of a week of activities for the candidates, including book readings, book signings and press opportunities.
